Punishment for repeatedly breaking the rules will result in being dropped from the game, and from subsequent games if it reoccurs regularly. If you have any questions about game mechanics or rules, DM the person who is running the current mafia game (@mafia gm)

Please express good sportsmanship throughout the game.
You have signed up to play - please participate! If you are unable to participate, ask an admin to remove you from the game.
Do not throw the game.
You are not allowed to communicate about the game outside of the game. You may not discuss the game in DMs, in other servers, in other channels on this server, etc. This is cheating!
Do not angleshoot (try to guess someone's role based on info from outside the game, such as how frequently they message you). For more information:
Server mods, do not message in this channel during night!
Do not edit or delete your messages (so we can retain information in case somebody is backreading the chat.) The bot will automatically snipe deleted messages, and you can get edit history by choosing Snipe from the message's apps menu. If you send an external link (to a google doc, etc), make sure the material it links to doesn't change after sending. This also means you shouldn't edit your nickname/status/bio/whatever to include anything related to mafia.
Do not send screenshots of your messages with mods, or directly quote what they told you in DM's to the mafia channel. Paraphrasing, and retaining key wording, is fine. This is so that there's always plausibility for any lies that are told.
Players who have been eliminated from the game are prohibited from using emoji reactions, unless they are on start of day/end of day messages.
If you have access to certain mechanics that the game depends on, don't abuse it. Don't ruin the game for your fellow players.
